Margaret West (Vandenboogard) was a stern, but compassionate woman. A wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her large family was only matched by her family in Christ.
"Work hard, forgive every time," Margaret told many throughout the last portion of her life. And, "Without Jesus, really, what will you ever have?"
She always aimed to make you laugh, smile, or think. Her presence will be missed by all in her circle of life.
After a long, productive race, she finally laid down to rest one last time, undoubtably excited to meet her Lord.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, Raymond West, her sister, Anna, as well as her parents, Henry and Mary Vandenboogard.
She is survived by her 13 children, 52 grandchildren, 83 great grandchildren, and 14 great, great grandchildren.
Her favorite activity in her last years was attempting to spoil every one of her descendants with candy, toys, and wisdom. While she doted on all of them, she was quick to straighten them out when needed as well. Even keel, intelligent, and adventurous, Margaret lived well, making the most of every breath she had.
